I have a MY2000 AP1 and I need an alternator,I found one off an 06 AP2,will it work on my AP1? they are different part numbers according to Honda,but the kicker is if I was to go buy one at Advance Auto or Napa or Autozone,they all have the same part number for their alternators,so acording to them their s2000 alternators will work no matter the year. Do I get the OEM AP2 alternator off the 06?

 

i would just buy a new one from napa with whatever warranty they offer.

 

but the one off the 06 has been tested to be working,and is 4 times(really 4Xs) cheaper than the price of one from the part stores,so my question is still unswered,will the one off the AP2 work with no issuses?

The Napa listing fits from 2000 to 2008. They wouldn't list it this way if there was a problem in doing so. Get the one from the '06 and carry on my wayward son.
