I have not checked voltage from the green plug on the alternator. What should I read and which wire do I read it from?

Is that just one cable or do I have to break into the engine harness. I will try this and cross my fingers.

Any other advise from anyone is greatly appreciated, my first time posting in "under the hood" and aww man you guys are helpful

ELD? ................. (Electric Load Detector). AFAIK, the voltage reg is built into our alternators.

Dave is correct. The regulator is built into the Alt. which is why if your alternator goes "bad" and you want a genuine Honda part, just replace the regulator. 9/10 times it ends up being just the regulator.

This is what I called a "voltage regulator" in my earlier post.

But if they are internal and the alt tested good I suppose its not that.

The ELD and voltage reg are different components.

regulator limits the amount that the alt will charge. the load detector tells the pcm what the alt. is doing
