Default Alternator will not charge for some reason.

Ok guys if you would, PLEASE help me out.
I recently got my turbo setup installed then tuned with the aem ems v2, now my alternator will not charge. I took the alternator to a local shop and it passed all tests. I then checked all my ground wires, alternator fuse, wiring harness from the alternator to the fuse box and everything checked out good.

questions
1. Is it possible that the alternator settings were not set by the tuner and now the alternator doesn't know when to kick on? Im on AEM EMS 2

2. I was told that there is a second alternator fuse under the dashboard. Is this true? where is it located?????

Reference
01 Ap1
I have a sound system in the car
battery relocated in the trunk with 0 gauge wires
mase turbo kit on E85

Thank you guys in advance for helping/looking
Its saying help me please!

I believe the altnenator starts charging as soon as the car is turned on and will continue until the car is turned off. Might be fuse, relay, or ground related issue.

What evidence do you have that shows that it is not charging?

I Measured voltage from the alternator and the fuse box fuse box and got 11.7 v. The exact same reading when measured the battery side in the fuse box. Car will drive and die once the battery is drained. I was told that it would read 15v or more if the alternator was charging.

S2000maniac- that's what I thought too! then a friend that knows cars well told me that the computer tells the alternator when to charge. Example - Kicks on when the car is under 9v / turns off at high rpms

I wish I could help you a bit more, but I believe you guys are both correct in a sense that the alt is always charging (Spinning), but controled by a voltage regulator.

Sometimes built in and sometimes not, hopefully this is a place for you to start looking good luck.

Maybe there is some car out there has a system like this, but it would be very very unusual. Generally an alternator produces power as long as it's spinning. (Also, 9v?!?! Your battery would suffer a very early death if it was allowed to drop that low regularly.)

Their is a fuse inside car under drivers side, don't remember which one. Mine kept blowing after I bought my car, had a cheap header and the O2 sensor was smashed against the transmission had bare wire touching it. I changed to OEM header and new O2 sensor had no more problems. If your fuse is blown might have a short somewhere.

My guess is an issue in the Alt FR Signal Circuit. Can someone send him 11-93/11-94 of the 01 Helm Service Manual?

I had this issue when I first bought my car, it turned out to be that I needed to replace the positive battery cables that go to my battery from the alternator.
