Default Am i the only idiot who's broken

three cracked, one of which broke completely off. the other two that cracked i'm pretty sure will break off next time i remove them. (I'm talking about the little tab you have to press down on on the harness plug to seperate it from the coil)

the play that is noticable from not having a working clip goes away when the coil is bolted down.

anybody else have this happen? how long have you been driving around with the broken clip?

I've seen a few guys metion that theirs have broken. I've taken my coils out a handful of times and have yet to brake one despite mine being 8 years old. Is there room enough to zip tie them tight ?

I started to rig up some of the smallest zipties i had but stopped when i saw the play go away...but i think you're right--i'll just zip tie them any way and forget about it.

I dont know why they broke. well i guess it's obvious, i pressed too hard. but i really wasn't pressing hard at all...salty, corrosive florida sea air is my best guess.

Mine broke 2/4 due to general plastic sitting too long. They get brittle for sure. I zip tied mine, plus once everything is in place, there isn't much room in there for play anyhow... Should be fine and worst case scenario would be misfire, which you'd feel, and then fix it
