You want a GL-5 transmission fluid. I imagine the most recommended would be Honda MTF, or GM synchromesh friction modified (what I am running).

I recently switched to amsoiil diff and tranny fluid. Great stuff. My tranny is a lot smoother.

I used Sever Gear 75w-90 for the diff and Manual Transmission Syncromesh Fluid.

These were the ones recommended on their site. They have a pretty good product appliaction guide. You should check it out.

I havn't used any other Tranny fluid. However...my car was making chatter noises but after using the amsoil tranny fluid the chatter went away.

I've been using their oil and filter for a long time now on my other cars. I trust their stuff.

Use GL-4 in the tranny, NOT GL-5 like recomended above! People really need to keep their mouths shut unless they actually know what they are talking about. This is happeneing far too frequently on this board lately. Also, do not use a regular motor oil in your transmissions, there are much better things with the proper additives available. Honda MTF is always a good standby, supposedly GMSMFM is a good alternative but I'm not sure if it'll provide the protection we need for long-term use, and Redline MTL is very similar to the Honda MTF except it has a better additive package and is fully synthetic basically meaning it will last longer and protect better (my personal choice).

You may use a 75W-90 GL-5 fluid in the diff, but a 90W GL-5 is what is recomended by Honda per the owner's manuals. LE-607 is by far the best rear differential fluid available to us at this time, it is a 90W GL-5 and readily available from certain S2k vendors for around $12/qt.

I am not sure how the Amsoil compares to the Redline; both seem to make good products, but personally I am not a fan of Amsoil and have had great sucess with Redline products. I live about 10 miles away from the Amsoil headquarters and had a chance to work for them in the research dept. but I turned it down. Why? I don't want to work in Wisconsin

Why are you using 0W-30 in your engine? It would be better to go with a 10W-30 unless you live in the Arctic.
