Default Amsoil MTF vs Honda MTF

In case this helps anyone, I've found that my 2005 transmission feels smoother with Honda MTF versus Amsoil MTF. I get more notchiness and clunking during the first 5 minutes of driving with Amsoil than I did with Honda. Weather's been in the 70's.

For my next fluid change, I'm going back to Honda MTF

Can't say I blame you. Honda's MTF is pretty damn good stuff...I'm still wondering who makes it for them.

For my trans. Half Amsoil and Half Honda works like a charm year round for me. I used only Honda MTF for the first 2 oil changes but it never satisfied me. But that's for my trans. from what I hear every transmission likes something different. It's like trying to find the best shooting bullet for a rifle.

I have the new Honda MTF and it's worked better than whatever was in there when I bought the thing.
It originally had 2nd gear scratch ever so often, but since I changed it, it hasn't scratched in 9,000 miles
I want to try GM syncromesh to see if it helps more with the cold shifts, maybe in another 6k
I have an 01 trans.
