amsoil oil

Default amsoil oil

is 10w30 amsoil synthetic oil (turbo formulated...as is says on the bottle) too thin to run in the summer?

I use Mobil 1 of the same viscosity. Unless Amsoil's viscosity rating is grossly different from M1, I don't see why you couldn't use it for summer. I suppose if you were tracking the car, you might want to use a higher viscosity (10W40?).

Amsoil 10w30 is a fine product, as good or better than M1 IMO. It has excellent base stocks and a fine add pack. See my sig for my current picks.

I was running amsoil 10W30, and found it much better than Mobile1, less oil consumption and it lasted longer, and also the motor felt smoother.

I just switched over to Redline 10W30, so far so good...
