Default Another "clunk" problem from rear of the car.

Sorry guys, I did all the searching I could and Ive seen it posted a few times, but without a definitive answer. I was worried that it was my diff, but could it be something else?

MY05
mi- 51,000
Tracked- never
launched- a few times, but not excessive

just recently I began to notice that whenever i put my car into reverse and slowly back up, I get a very distinct "clunk" sound and then the same sound occurs when I shift to first and slowly pull foward. Just started occuring in the last few weeks, and now its starting to happen a little more frequent.

Any ideas?

might just be cause your driving the diff a different direction and so its taking out the slack between the pinion and ring gear when it changes direction

it was my axel nuts, i followed what i saw in another post, which was pop out the rim center cap, reattach the wheel after the new nut is one, lower the car and then tighten it. I wass able to get it alot tighter with the wheels on the ground
