Default Another "clunking" sound thread.

Ok, so I've done some searching and I've narrowed down that it is not my axle nuts which seems to exhibit similar symptoms.

I have a low speed (10-15mph) clunk while turning with the clutch pedal in. With the clutch engaged there is nothing. It could be psycho-sematic or whatever, but I swear I can almost feel it in the pedal as well.

I'm lost... can someone point me in the right direction? I don't recall this sound prior to having Comptech adjustable springs installed if that helps. Though I may have not immediately noticed it because I did a Veilside exhaust at that time as well. It tends to mask any sound until I got used to it.

Hey Aaron...I just had my differential replaced...I had the same clunking issue (especially when I pulled a U turn or something with the clutch in) and I have no clunking with the new diff...coincidence? I dunno...

Perhaps it is the diff with the 4.44's. I also forgot to mention that.

I just don't recall that sound under those conditions prior to the exhaust. I will never do this many mods in that short of time frame again...

Hmm...now that you bring it up. You have to unbolt your exhaust to do the diff and I we used new bolts to bolt the exhaust back up to the cat...
Maybe you have a broken bolt leading to some play in certain situations?
