Another hesitation S2000
If you had a wideband you may likely notice your afr sweeping lean to rich in too wide a swath causing the engine to pulse. I notice this at times most when cruising part/light throttle which is closed loop when car is warmed up. That sensation should go away once you get into open loop ( more then 35% throttle) if not, then you may actually be experiencing a mechanical issue in drivtrain.
But you may still have an 02 sensor issue if problem is in partial throttle/closed loop operation. Honestly ive tried the splice in options, but these days we have oem pnp options for the same price from NGK and Bosch ($35-$60) so i wouldn't even mess with the splicing kind, they can be hit and miss. Look on Amazon and Ebay, just be sure and cross reference and get the right sensor. Honda uses the same sensors for most of its cars, but the difference is in the plug, which will be reversed male or female depending on if your wanting the up or downstream for our car. For other Hondas it is reversed i found out.
The fuel damper might be a problem as windhund threw out there, but i dont know how one would troublshoot that, other then just replacing it for shits and giggles.

I tried a new map sensor today. No affect. I checked all vacuum lines and routing. Today it had a pretty good loss of power, I'd call it a bog. 2200 rpm clutch completely out very light throttle. Just pulling out of my driveway. I tried removing the vacuum hose to the FPR and plugging it, but that had no affect either. Could partially clogged injectors cause intermittent issues? I would assume a clogged injector would exhibit issues 24/7. Could bad coil packs cause intermittent issues as well? I noticed my tailpipes are getting a carbon buildup. Possibly running extra rich. I think my next step would be to get a fuel pressure gauge and check it. This particular AP1 seems to have an ungodly surge of power at vtec. Not sure if its low on power under lift or what. Thing plops you backward at 6k and wants to rev hard and fast to 9k. Quite exhilarating.
I rechecked the voltage at the TPS. It measured .26V I was able to nudge it to .29. What symptoms would show if any with the incorrect voltage at the tps? Initial thoughts after driving it, I didn't notice any loss of torque. It is hot as shit outside and so far had no hesitation or loss of power. Did a 3rd gear pull on the highway and she was very willing to hit 90mph. I got my fingers crossed but i'm thinking .04 volts off on the tps isn't enough to cause that kind of power loss.
Well, I offered my input above. But to further add with your stated symptoms especially in high ambient temps, with signs of running really rich and bogging/low power until vtec, sounds like a pretty normal ap1/F20 to me
Took the car out again for another 40 minutes. It's 92 F outside right now and the car is running beautifully. I got on the highway and a blue 2016 wrx, the 2.0t model was feeling frisky. Was coming off a fast entrance ramp and gunned it in 3rd gear. I pulled on the guy rather easily. Big grin on my face. ;-)
Although the car runs better more often now, it still exhibits a bit of intermittent power loss. All was well for a good amount of driving, say another 40 miles. Then when I pulled into a parking garage I noticed a loss of torque again. After leaving the store an hour later the car felt like I was pulling something. Then it passed and the car was quick again. I dunno where to look at this point. When I was pullin gout of my driveway in reverse I was riding the clutch backing up a bit and the car just lost all power, I looked at the rpms and it was at 1800 but the power disappeared. I rolled back forward and did it again. Issue gone. Not sure where to look next.
