Default another mystery noise thread

if i shift from 1-2 or 2-3 @ or near 9k when i let off the clutch there is a squeak. cant tell if its front or rear but its almost like the rear end is squeaking when the car dips in the rear when the clutch engages.

springs? (tein s tech btw on stock struts)

motor mount?

anyone else with a similar issue?

I believe that's the clutch slipping, as our clutches aren't the strongest ones out there. I've had the same thing happen to me and I've heard it happen to other S2Ks during an autocross.

It is most definately the clutch. It won't do it until it's hot. If your looking for a little tire chirp, do it before the clutch gets hot.

not looking for tire chirp. they cost too much to get spots in the tread. just trying to figure out what the squeak is when i shift @ high rpms.

i took the tranny out and am currently swapping the clutch while i wait for my gears so hopefully itll be cured.

thanks for the replies.
