Clutch buzz, but not.
So I just picked up my '02 S on Tuesday, but already I have noticed a distinctive noise associated with the clutch. I was wondering if anyone here has heard of or has first hand experience with this:
First, once the engine and transmission get warm, I start to notice a soft rattling noise at idle when the car is in neutral. Once I press the clutch the noise goes away. Also when I am shifting at higher gears (4th-6th) I hear a somewhat louder and deeper rattle when the clutch engages. I can also hear it sometimes with I start in first or shift into second at low RPMs. I can't tell if I can feel it too or if I'm just being paranoid.
As far as I know the "clutch buzz" happens during decel between 3k-4k RPMs. Does anyone know what this could be or is this just the natural loudness of an s2k?
