Another weak link on stock diff...

your missing the point, this is a pretty rare case, you will DIY on these bolts that dont even need to be replaced and the next day another part can fail.
This is a freak thing at best, even with all the rears I have opened I have never seen a failure of the 10 LSD bolts.
IMO The bolts were either not torque down correctly or they backed out because of no thread lock used.
To twist these bolts requires more force than any part of the diff would handle before braking. The gears will sheer the bearing caps would give way before the LSD bolts would ever give or twist.
S2KPUDDYDAD.
I just letting high powered owners know, to inspect these bolts when they open up the diff.
Like I said above, we ALSO thought it is very weird to see these bolts stretching...
Stock diff is born to be weak, I have to disagree on about blown diff from drive error.
If it was strong enough to hold stock power level, Honda didn't even bother to reinforce AP2 diff and add clutch delay valve.
I just letting ppl know, this might be another weak link on high torque applications.

Yes, it is very important to check these bolts for proper torque and to use a good quality thread lock when installing them.

“so is there absolutely nothing a driver can do to prevent potential diff failure during wheel hop“?
Put your foot back in the clutch as fast as you can and get out of the gas!! The race is lost already.
