Default any 06+ airbox changes?

I'm looking to pick up a second airbox to try out Gernby's airbox insulation method. Is there any difference between an 06+ and earlier models? I'm only looking at the airbox, not the intake arm.

It's basically gutting the airbox and using foam and silver bubble wrap insulation on the inside which speeds up cooler IATs when moving. I'm not sure about horsepower/torque as the dyno plots are no longer in the thread if he did post them.

@noodels Understood from gutting, are you suggesting that the insulation also improves flow? I'm just quoting Gernby with the IATs dropping faster once the car is moving.

I datalogged IAT's with the OEM airbox, then switched over to K+N FIPK. At speed, a 10 degree F cooler IAT with the FIPK.

just for reference.

Thanks. Wow, lots of data on this going every which way. I think Gernby's post was indicating that with the stock airbox the IATs got lower faster after it was gutted and insulated, especially in start/stop conditions such as traffic. I wanted to try this because I have an extra airbox to play with. That takeda box and dry filter is quite appealing though, my wallet may take another hit if the new gutted stock box doesn't hit the mark.
