I have it, works great for me been running it for a good while now in the Florida sunshine and rain when I get caught so far no issues at all

The T1R exhaust I have is wraped too

The header is stainless steel and coated with a silicone water proof high heat spray

Seeing that Toda offers no warranty at all, it's not like you can void it.

It is a Megan header very well made and it has been wrapped since new. As for miles on it I'm not sure....maybe 15k, not sure. I'm not hard on the car at all but when I do drive to meets and such I have a long drive, over 100 miles sometimes. I have had good luck so far and only had to do one repair when I rubbed a speed bump and tore the wrap a little. I just wrapped a few new turns in the area and re- clamped it
I can drive the car for 50 miles pull over and place my hand on the header and not get burned Now please take note: You can't leave your hand on it long but, I don't think you can do this with an un-wrapped header The best thing I noticed is the reduction in exhaust noise

It's not surprising that S2KPUDDYDAD hasn't had any problems yet. The increased corrosion rate and thermal fatigue take time. If he prevents it from getting soaked in salt water, it will last longer. But it won't last nearly as long as an unwrapped header.

Spray coatings do increase the heat and therefore also accelerate the corrosion rate and thermal fatigue, but are not susceptible to accelerated chloride attack because it can't trap the salts. But accelerated chloride attack is not the likely failure. If the coating isn't too thick, it won't do too much harm.

The rate of oxidation isn't a linear relationship with temperature. The higher the temps, the faster the increase in the rate of oxidation.

When and if it takes a crap I will post pics and the time frame it took to go bad. If it lasts a few more years then it was worth it for the Peace it gives me while driving. I have a T1R 70R single exhaust with Megan header before a wrap job this system was very loud inside the cabin but, now it is tolerable and at highway speed almost stock like I am very happy I did it

right there with you, i wrapped header to exit and now i can actually listen to the radio in the cabin at highway speeds and my arm reast doesnt heat up as much either, defiantly glad i did it. i also bought black header wrap too so it doesnt stand out as much.

jet/thermal coat IMO I run a wrap on the DP and under my Ass to keep the car cooler. I was too cheap to have it shot at the time of install. I did not wrap my Ex-mani yet and will wait untill I top mount it.

FWIW, i wrapped my DC sports ceramic coated mild steel header on my CRX. raced a full season of ITA and drove it on the street. and it was fine when the header wrap was removed years later.

engine bay temps were cooler btw.
