Just curious if anyone has changed their OEM spark plugs for some others in the market from folks like Bosch. . .wonder if it makes any difference in our S2000's.

Hmmm. . .it seems these are not available for our S2000. . .I tried two websites and I received messages that they are "unavailble."
Do you guys recommend any?

try an auto store, usually theyre pregapped for what manufacturer car but i dunno if the s2000's gap is different than say an accord's, or you can just regap them if you need to
i replaced the original plugs on my 98 accord(bought used with 50k miles on it) at 55k miles it seemed like it ran better after i put them in

platinum plugs sucks. platinum is for plug life, not performance. plugs are so cheap that I don't think plug life should be a serious consideration when deciding plugs.

I had a set on my Si and it made no difference whatsoever. Actually, it may have degraded the performance. Anytime I used Bosch platinum plugs on any of my past cars, I noticed the motor would hesitate off the line. Reinstalled the OEM plugs and that hesitation was eliminated.
So I definitely wouldn't recommend them over the stock OEM, they don't help and can degrade the performance.

Ummm, negative on that.. the gaps on the platinum +4's cannot be altered as they are not of the traditional design sparkplug design.

Umm, I was under the impression the S2 already HAD these platinum plugs. I just had my 30k service done and that was one of the things that was discussed. i.e. we replace plugs on the service but not on the S2K because they have them so we just inspect them and regap if needed.
Now I wonder....

Platinum plugs are all about long life. The latest push in performance plugs is high-conductivity materials to allow big hot sparks so gold is one material used but it does not have long life. Currently the ultimate compromise in conductivity and life is iridium.. BTW, iridium plugs are standard on the Insight. Some of us have installed iridium plugs with good results, but they are more than twice the cost of platinum.
