Default Anyone else notice vibration in shifter?

I just swapped out my transmission fluid and immediately noticed shifter vibration at over 2K RPM. The higher the revs, the more the vibration. That's the only change that I made too.

All S2000s (at least pre-'04s) have vibration coming through the stick. This is even more so with a supercharged car. You either probably didn't notice it as much until after you changed the fluid OR, the previous fluid was getting old and thicker and dampened some of the vibration. We tend to key in on certain things after we've made changes (like changing fluids).

Was this before or after you installed the supercharger?

After blower install. If the fluid tends to thicken and dampen the vibration with age, that would go a long way towards explaining it. I didn't notice the problem after installing the blower, but changing the fluid resulted in an immediate "WTF". As usual, thanks for the input.

The fluid might thicken with age and/or use but the point I was trying to make was that it's entirely possible (actually it's quite likely) that the blower is introducing vibration into your drivetrain that wasn't there before and that might be the source of the change and not the fluid. Just a thought.

I did my installation over several weeks - added a piece and continued to drive the car. Here's what I observed:
When the Vortech crank pulley went on, I also bolted on the supercharger pulley - no additional vibration, everything normal.
Then I bolted the supercharger itself onto the front of the engine but did not have the pulley on, so the charger did not spin - instantly, I felt the vibration come through the stick. Therefore, it had nothing to do with the blower spinning.
After I got the belt on and everything was running, the vibration stayed the same - no worse, no better. It has been the same ever since (20 months now).
Something about having the weight of that size being bolted to the front of the engine caused the vibration to reach the stick. I believe that the vibration was always there as a natural entity. However, the blower somehow either changed the harmonics of the pre-existing vibrations or re-directed them to the tranny and up the stick. I would love to know the physics of how this happened.

BTW, I have greatly reduced the stick's vibration with the addition of a Ti Voodoo knob that I got from Rick's. I think the added weight of the knob helps to dampen things quite a bit.
