Default Ap1 and ap2 valve cover

Like the title says what's the difference in an ap1 and ap2 valve cover? Can I put an ap1 valve cover on my ap2? And yes I already tried the search. Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes you can.

Only difference is the PCV valve. On the AP2 its threaded steel and angled differently.

You cannot use a valve cover off a 2006-2009, as there is only one cam sensor (2000-2005 needs 2 sensors)

Why do you want to swap the valve covers?

I have an f20c complete motor that I am in the process of rebuilding and I painted the valve cover kind of just messing around at first but it came out half way decent so I figured I put it on my car and sport it until I get the other motor finished. Thanks again guys.

I prefer the ap2 pcv valve and venting system for the ap2 valvecover, I actually put an ap2 (2004-2005) valvecover on my ap1 engine. Like mentioned above the ap1 valvecover will work on an 2004-2005 ap2 engine, you just have to run the plastic pcv valve.
