Default AP1 Ballast Question

Hi guys- new owner here. I recently purchased a 2003 s2000 and was told by the previous owner that it needed a new headlight bulb for the driver's side. I went ahead and bought a pair and replaced them. That did not fix the problem. After some poking around on these forums, I found a post by Billman that explained how there might be water in the ballast and to take it apart and blow it out with compressed air. I took mine apart and found no water or signs of water.

I also switched the passenger side headlight to the driver's side and found that it worked. This leads me to believe that my ballast is shot.

I went ahead and made a WTB post on the forums, but found a BIN on eBay for 152 and free shipping, and needed the part fast, so I pulled the trigger. This was the listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/110836516184...84.m1497.l2649 (I hope you guys can see that).

When it arrived to my house yesterday, it didn't look too similar to what I remember the OEM on my car looked like. I was wondering if you guys could shed some light on the topic as to whether or not I got a legitimate OEM replacement and if anyone has seen this unit before. Here are some more pictures:

Also, after I made the purchase I receieved a PM from a member saying he would match the price and sell me his AP1 ballast... if this one isn't correct or doesn't work I will try to return it and purchase that one. Wish I saw the PM 30 minutes earlier from when I did so I could have scooped that one! Oh well, live and learn.

Thanks in advance!

Hmm, OK. That was the question. I was just concerned because I felt like it looked a little different than what I remembered when I inspected my current one. I'll install it tonight. Thanks for the response, I appreciate it
