Default ap1 block/ head vs. ap2 block/ head

Hypothetically speaking you strip an f20c motor and a f22c motor down to the basic blocks and heads, are they the same?

I was browsing H & A and it says that the f20 and f22 block/ heads have different part numbers.

I know that the internals of the head/ block on an ap1 and ap2 differ, but do the core block and head also differ? If they do, what are the main differences?

Im basically just asking this because I have the chance to buy an f20 short block and an f22 head for a good price. I just want to know if this will work and eventually after a full rebuild that I will have one good motor for my build.

I plan to either go 2.5 with the block, or sleeve it for a high boost application.
