i am about to buy a pair of ap2 headlights. I was wondering if i could put my ap1 bulbs into the ap2 headlights instead of buying new bulbs?

by the way, if there are no covers on the back of the headlights that would cover wehre the bulbs be, is that bad?

 

yes the bulbs are the same.....but i would recommend getting new bulbs as the light output over about 1500 hrs is at 50% of new output.
phillips d2s bulbs are oem.
the plastic on the back of the lights is important to keep water of the electricals parts

 

Yeah, go ahead and replace them.

I got a new set last month for my s and it was quite a improvement. Stick with philips bulbs.

I got a set on ebay for $50.

Are they the same? I could have sworn the AP2's had 85122+'s as opposed to the regular 85122's
