Ap1 dyno low power
How do you know if your dyno numbers are low ?. Do you have any idea what a stock s2k puts down on the exact same dyno that you used ?. I've never heard of that dyno make, so we can't compare numbers that are typically posted on this forum to the dyno that you've used.
Dyno's are only useful calculating delta gains and losses on a car being used on the same dyno machine as you tune or modify the vehicle. The starting number doesn't mean shit and it isn't really comparable to numbers produced by other vehicles on other dynos. The delta gain or loss during tuning is the only important and accurate thing you can derive from a dyno session. Why doesn't anyone understand this concept ?
You can have your car dyno at 100 whp totally stock on that dyno machine and have it gain 20 whp from intake and exhaust tuning. You can also have an s2k dynoing 200 whp stock and gaining 40whp from the same intake and exhaust tuning on a Dynojet. Both of these cars could theoretically be just as powerful as the start and end numbers don't mean much, just the delta which is 20% gain. This is a bit of an exaggeration but hopefully you get how it works.
If a totally stock s2k dyno'd 200 whp on the dyno that you used, I might have some concern, if a totally stock s2k dynos at 150 whp on that machine you might be happy. You need to get more info before you determine what is going on.

First off, dyno numbers don't mean poop. Second, what are you comparing the acceleration to? I have yet to dyno mine. Although bone stock, it seems to be up to par with the H22, with bolt on's, in my Prelude; which is what I expected. The only difference is where they make the power in the power band. The AP1 is top end and due to my bolt selection, the H22 is all in the midrange.

one of the local shops (they closed down- i wonder why) but they ran my friend's s (ap1) and it only put down 160. they ran it three times. on the third run the owner noticed the rear brakes were glowing. they ran the car with the e brake engaged.
maybe the dyno had a bad correction factor.
