Default Ap1 flywheel in an ap2 transmission

So I own a 06 ap2 and I wanted to put a ap1 flywheel in it. My question is can I just buy the flywheel from a hondagenuine parts place and put it in or do I need so adapters so I can fit?

Direct drop in. If you buy it used make sure to resurface it before install.

Do you need to resurface a new OEM flywheel?

Thanks!

I have a spare AP1 flywheel I don't need, PM me if interested. It's resurfaced and ready to install.

Buy leons ap1 fw posted above. How come youre swapping only the flywheel? Ideally itd be good to put in a resurfaced/new flywheel along with a new clutch and all the other supporting pieces, then to properly break it in to bed all the mating surfaces evenly. But to each his own.

the difference is noticeavle but its not night and day. It revs up a bit faster.

well I wanted the ap1 flywheel for the higher revs. But my car has 25k miles so I figured that I wouldn't need to get all thought other items.

The flywheel won't allow the car to rev higher.

Do you mean you wanted it because it allows the car to rev up/down faster?

I would check the condition of the clutch while you're in there. 25k miles is early to need a clutch, so you may be fine.

I would feel a little foolish not at least replacing the release bearing, bearing guide sleeve, and *maybe* the disc. Unless you're not paying for labor?

I would definitely clean and re grease everything with honda high temp urea grease.
