Also do the clutch delay valve delete at the same time on the 06.

Its a resurfaced flywheel, you should get a new friction disk to go with it. When you see how much work it is to remove the trans, you'll be thinking about replacing those other parts B mentions, so you don't have to do this again anytime soon!

I was in the same boat, except my car had 75k miles, and po just had a new clutch put in. So I was just gonna wait until it needed a new clutch to go with the lighter flywheel. 'Fortunately' for me he used a crappy exedy clutch so it only lasted like 30k miles so I had the opportunity to put in the lighter one sooner than I ever thought. I went with an act 11 lb wheel. I love it. Seems perfect. I wouldn't want to go any lighter for a street car I dd. I enjoy driving the car more now. I really like how now it wants a faster shift, whereas before it really needed you to shift slower.

But, if I had to do it over again, and only had 25k miles, that would be a tough call...

I really appreciate all the input. After ready the posts I think I have come up with a plan. I think I'll leave the clutch alone, but I'll get a new friction disk and new release bearings and a bearing guide sleeve.

And...change to an AP1 slave cylinder to get rid of the clutch delay valve that's in the AP2 slave cylinder. Modifying your present slave cylinder by removing the CDV is also an option. Until the CDV is removed, your clutch may slip when shifting fast at red line.

...but if you use a lighter flywheel, the effect of cdv on high rev slipping is less severe. So as an option you could leave cdv in place, try it, and if you still want to remove cdv you can.

Its easy to do cdv afterwards. Not something that needs to be done while things are apart for clutch.
