Default AP1 leaking gasoline from the rear

Hello all. First time posting on here and its bad. So I recently bought a S2000 and it was driving fine. No noises, rattling or any other signs of problems. I let the car sit in the driveway for 1 day and started it up today and it was fine but I noticed a sprinkling noise coming from the rear. I got out and looked under the car and saw gas leaking. I turned it off and noticed that whenever I turn the key to second click (when everything lights up on the cluster, but the engine is off) the gas was leaking a lot. I have attached a picture of where the leak was coming from. Its on the drivers side in front of the rear wheel. The gas was leaking from above that space that you see. Can anyone help or give their opinion? Thanks in advance

The second "click" on the ignition activates the fuel pump. you may have a leak from one of the fuel lines. Have it checked asap.

I am trying to find a good mechanic to do that. I havent touched the car since I first noticed this problem. Do you think its a costly repair?

Those lines are not costly to replace

If you have a flat head screw driver or a "Christmas tree" remover you can pull three pins on the right side of the trunk panel and three on the left. Obviously, the spare tire section comes out easily. But you should be able to bend the left side towards the rear fender. This will give you access to where the fuel pump is located. Undo the three screws holding the fuel pump plate on, and you are in to where you should be seeing a leak.

Caution you are dealing with fuel, so remove the battery cable before dorking around trying to find a fuel leak. Fuel lines are cheap, but a really messy job.

It could be as easy as the line slipped off of the fuel pump, feed or return barbs. Look up fuel pump change DIY. This should give you a visual.

Hope you have small hands

Cheers!

Well the guy that did it for me said that it was a broken seal. so he charged me $20 and that was it. He said he accessed the fuel line by going behind the drivers seat.
