Default Gas Leak?

After filling up my gas tank and driving home. Went inside for about a 1/2 hour.

Then went outside to go out to eat with the family and then I smelled gas.. I backed up my car and noticed a small wet spot..

I looked under my car and then I noticed a wet spot about a foot from the rear driver side tire.. I took pictures and attached them.

Is this normal and I just never noticed it??

Or what could be broken?

I've never experienced that before. And gasoline potentially dripping on a hot exhaust is asking for trouble.

I would get the car in the air and look to see where the leak is coming from.

Yes. I always stop at the first click. However often when i'm done filling it I can see gas at the very top. Today I was in a hurry so I didn't check.

Is there any gas lines around that area? It is no longer wet under there however I haven't driven it again.

Maybe I should drive it and see if there is still a leak?

Also I mite add after filling up. By mistake, I did hit my front end on the ground. Not sure if that makes a difference.
