This weekend someone ran into my car in my driveway and broke my AP2 driver side tail light. i called honda to see how much it would cost or replace. they gave me a price of 300$ just for the driver side tail. so i was lookin on ebay, and someone was selling a pair of AP1 tails for 75$. so i think i might just buy that. but i was wondering would it work?

If we ap1 owners can swap you guys lights into our car I'm sure you guys can do the same thing. You shouldn't even need to cut anything in the trunk. You just might need to modify the plugs a little bit the way we do on the ap1 so yeah I think it will work. Search ap1 to ap2 tail conversion and that should give you an idea of what you might need to modify but it would save you a crapload seems like

 

they should fit cause u only have to cut when ur using ap2's on an ap1.

 

Won't that leave a gap then?

 

I've done this before and you will have to do some cutting. Just follow the same installation procedure as the AP2 retrofit for AP1's. But of course use the AP1 gasket as a cutting template.

 

The wiring connections are different.
