Default AP2 06 valve cover to AP1 2000

My question will it fit? This is my track race car so I dont care about the engine check light. As you can see I bought an AP2 06 valve cover to replace my AP1 valve cover, I was told that this will eliminate and help the smoke screen on right hand turns on the track. AP1 valve cover has 2 sensors TDC and AP2 06 has only 1. will it matter if I only use one? Also the hose that connects to the(I believe the PCV) valve cover is different. As you can see the AP2 hole is threaded and AP1 its push in. Thanks

I think you needed the pre 06 (04-05) AP2 cover and the AP2 PCV valve.
I just did this for a bud on his 00 S2000. Bolted right up no problem.
This worked out perfect. I don't know what the effect of the missing cam position sensor would be...

Thanks S2KNFR, its too late now as I did not know there is a difference between AP2 04-05 and 06 and above! The Ap2 PCV valve is only $13 so thats not the issue. I am trying to find out what would happen if I run AP1 with one sensor only? Anyone?

You need both those sensors. They cam position sensors and your ECU is expecting both. So sell it or return it and buy a 04-05 valve cover.

You cannot use it. It must be 00-05
