Default AP2 Clutch Slip?

I just read somewhere that the AP2 clutch has a little slip in it? Any truth to this? Did Honda **** up?

I think you're probably talking about the CDV (Clutch Delay Valve). Do a search for that, and you'll likely find the info you seek.

I did some research on this and everywhere I look they only mention the 04s. Is this still a "problem" or "mechonisam" on the 08s ??

AP2 begins with 04'. All AP2's have a clutch delay valve which can be removed. I noticed the delay when I had a stock clutch set up. When I upgraded to an ACT clutch kit the delay is not noticable.

Man that kinda sucks but since my car will be a daily driver it is probably best to have that in there.

Yes and no, it will protect the rest of the driveline if you are too hard on it. On the other hand, it will burn up your clutch in the process.

If you are sensible about how you drive the car, then take it out and leave the onus on yourself to protect the different parts.

I'm sure it would.

I actually dont feel the CDV as bad as some people. I consider myself a decent shifter. I just think some people dont like to let off the gas between shifts.

+1 I dont really notice the CDV all that much in my 07. I actually can get sideways sometimes even with the VSA ON! Id say its gripping plenty!
