i just did an ap2 conversion to my car.and the question i have is...im not going to reuse my old ap1 ballast..im going to go with the ap2,so i dont have to rig nothing up.is the ap1 cable that goes from the ballast to the car's harness compatible with the newer ballast?or do i have to splice it,or buy the ap2 cable...thanx

 

it will plug right up. they both use the ds2 harness. i did the same thing but i was too cheap to buy the ap2 ballast so i bought an aftermarket hid kit and made some custom plastic pieces that mount to the stock location of the oem hid kit...
