AP2 soft top latches on an AP1?

Default AP2 soft top latches on an AP1?
I noticed the part numbers are different for the soft top latches on an AP2. Will they still work on AP1 or do they have to be modified or will they not work at all?

work. you should upgrade your ap1 strikers to ap2. ap1 strikers are very weak.
