AP1/AP2 Soft top latches the same?

AP1/AP2 Soft top latches the same?
I just bought new hardtop srikers from hardtopguy and was wondering if the ap1 and ap2 soft top latches were interchangeable. I have a 01 s2k and would like to know if I will have any problems using ap2 latches.
