Default AP2 Valve Retainer Tool

Just finished up the ap2 upgrade and here is another tool to use to do it with the head in place.

Ive had it for years and have used it on B series, D series, F series, H series just about any OHC engine it can be used on

its a beam with a lever handle to push the spring down, it was quick to swap all the parts over once I got into a rhythm.

ap2 vs ap1

all done just cams at TDC, TQ it all down, and valve adjustment left

best part is you can actually order it right from autozone

I used the Buddy Club Valve tool, little expensive but gets the job done. Will be selling it if interested.

at 58,000 nope none kinda disappointed since I tore it down for nothing and had a hart attack when I dropped a valve into the cylinder but at the same time proof that if you dont money shift you wont drop a valve

cant rent it but can only buy it. rent from me just cover cost of tool+ship when its back I refund the tool price its EASY to use as well

load the keepers into the retainer, pressurize the cylinder, put loaded retainer under the tool, press down with tool, use other hand to push keepers down around the valve stem, wiggle the tool from left to right a bit to make room for each keeper to slide in and its done!

I cant find it on the autozone website but I ordered it through them, ask them to search for a honda valve spring tool it will pop up or if not get their lazy asses to look in a BOOK and it WILL be there

here it is on amazon

if someone wants to rent it 90+ship and I refund the 90 once the tool is back I build D series engine from time to time, but if an s2ki member wants to save a buck Ill be happy to help since face it spending 90 on a tool you will use once for a 40 dollar upgrade kinda doesn't make much sense haha.

I'd rather pay $8 more and buy it directly from Amazon.
