Default AP2 Valve Retainers

I checked with the Honda dealership about upgrading to AP2 valve retainers. They quoted me $1200 for labor alone. I know this takes some time but this seems crazy to me. Can anyone advise?

HAHA Honda Stealerships are ridiculous! Go somewhere else, or do it yourself if you have mechanical experience. I took it to a reputable shop and they did the work for 200 if I recall correctly.

it's an easy task for a mechanic, it shouldn't take not even half a day.

1200 was to remove the cylinder head and replace them. Swapping retainers on car is less time consuming and more difficult than removing the cylinder head.

It's not easy. It is a very tedious process that can be easily screwed up if you loose a keeper.

that last retainer swap I did made my knees hurt for a week.
