On numerous other posts people have said that they like the NEO because it has a colorful display and good tuning options. If you go to boomslangs website you can find a plug and play harness for our AP1's that run around 140.00.

For reliability they are only as good as the tuner. Have it tuned by someone that knows the controller and you should be good to go.

I would have to find the post again but I thought someone had mentioned you can break down the tuning even more than VAFC II. There was a thread about the NEO and some dyno's a while back.

On this same topic I found a NEO and plug and play harness for 100.00 on ebay. The guy told me the harness is an OBD II and that it can work for several applications. Would this work on our S2000? Either way if the controller doesn't get much higher than 100.00 that may be worth getting it for that price.

What do you guys think?

as a former vafc2 owner(for almost two years) id say save your $ and get an emanage ultimate.

I have heard this from more than a few people now. What do those cost compared to the VAFC.

Yes the AC will work. It doesn't replace your ECU, just piggybacks it.

ANd yes you can use the NEO without a harness just as long as you like hanging upside down in your car with blood rushing to your head whilst cutting and soldering your ECU harness.

If it's an S2000 harness then yes. If not then no.

If it's some generic harness that 'works for several applications' I suspect it's just the bare wires hanging out of the E-manage. You still either need the Boomslang harness or a few hours of contortion and hacking harnesses.
