Default ARC Radiator Cooling Plate

I just recently purchased a ARC Radiator Cooling Plate for my ap2 s2000. I just got back from trying to install it following the instructions from ARC (which are very simple) but as i was doing the install towards the bottom end were the front end meets the weather strip, it does not want to sit flush with the front bumper. also i am having a hardtime putting in the bolts back. the radiator cooling plate seems unaligned including bolts? the instructions says to use the same bolts that you took off, but they dont seem long enough? also it doesn't exactly sit flush. anyone else having any of these problems and how'd you fix it? or am i doing something wrong? Thanks!!!!

When you take the screws off from the front bumper, there is a piece of black metal with the rubber stripping. These are TWO difference parts and can be seperated. Reuse the rubber stripping. Toss (or save) the black metal piece.

VOILA!

THe ARC plate shoulf fit now

Correcto

That black piece has some kind of small formed flange that doesnt allow the bottom of the ARC to sit flat against the front bumper when you screw it down in the front.

Hope that helps

i might need to take out my hood dampers then cause it only let's me drop the hood from so high (half way). does your cooling plate kind of bend in the middle after everything is screwed on?

appreciate you taking the time to take pictures!

Yup- cooling plate does kind of bend in the back middle (where its not secured down) between the radiator supports. Instead of dropping the hood, I sometimes have to give it a slight push AND drop (done simultaneously.) Maybe try that before taking the hood dampers off?

No problem
i'm going to try this method. i dont know what else to do if this doesn't work though. and hopefully it doesn't dent my hood. anyone else wanna chime in?

Honestly I have a harder time closing the hood as well.. I just gotta drop it from higher. It seems to be the norm.
