Default Attached "shield"

Well, part of my complaints about the Miata's leather deteriorating might have not come to pass if I had understood early on how delicate it is, and taken steps to protect it other than slathering it with leather treatment. Leaving the top down all day at work the first couple of years could NOT have helped!

That said, a windshield screen too deflect the sun is an obvious purchase, but in the confines of a 2-seater's interior finding room is tough (hey, I could have bungee'd it to the roll bar on the Miata ).

Well, a couple of months ago, in one of the two dozen mail-order catalogs I get every month, I saqw something interesting. A shield with fine accordion pleats that collapses into a shallow plastic housing that attaches to the RH side A-pillar. It's always there, never in the way. The description said it it custom made for each type of car, "please specify".

Sounds, neat, but (A) does anyone have any experience with something like this? and (B) anyone know which catalog? I threw mine out, when usually when I see something interesting I tear the page out and stick it on my bulletin board.

I'd like to protect the S2000's interior fro deterioration from new...

i took a chance.. and live in CA.. knowing its not legal.. but i got some Insta-Cling 30% and did my front windows with the tint on the inside of the car.. but for the rear i was gonna put it on the outside and cut it out and put it in the inside..but got lazy and just left it on the outside.. works good even after drop the top a few times. i know its the perfect and did it too see how the tint would look.. its not as clear as the real tint but if i get pulled over or for any reason i can just remove it with no glue to deal with
