Hey all,

I've got an Autel MS300 OBD II Code Reader and have used it successfully with my Toyota Sienna.

Out of curiosity I hooked it to my 2008 S2000 and tried it out.

It went through the scan routine VPW -> PWM -> CAN -> KWP 2000 -> ISO9141 and the finally gave a "link error".

Any idea why this is?

car running? Updated firmware? I'm wondering if your unit can read the newer obd protocol I remember reading something

 

No car wasn't running. Would that make a difference?

As best as I know this car is box stock, although I am the 4th owner

Car should be running...sometimes it will work in Acc. Mode but may timeout
