Default Is the "auto" down part of the switch in the dr?

Wanted to get the passenger control on driver's side switched to auto as well. Is it as easy as buying another "auto" switch and swapping it out? Just want to be lazy and do one push for down on both at the same time.

Thanks.

I'm not sure, but you can do it with the roof switch.

modifry sells a "convenience package" that may allow something like that.

I wasn't thinking about doing the button on the passenger door. I was thinking about having both of the buttons in the driver's side do auto down. Anyone know the part number for the "auto" switch/button? If it's not too expensive, maybe I can experiment and swap out the second one.

Thanks.

I don't believe the "auto-down" feature is part of the button. It's part of the electronics that controls the window. You can do the Modifry thing by buying his module. This module does a few other things as well. I can't remember exactly what but if you find a post by modifry, he has his website posted in his sig. Go to it and you'll see sorts of neat stuff invented by him.

An alternative is to get a couple of "AutoLok" modules. These will give you both auto-DOWN and auto-UP on either or both windows. Search for a post by "EMC2" with a subject of "AutoLok" and you'll see lots written about. He even links another thread from another member who has posted pics and instructions on how to install this.

That would great and I'm sure there will be many board users who will send you flowers and hookers if this were true. However, I think this may have been in your "other" life.

ps. You can get aftermarket alarm systems that will give you this feature on their keyless remote. They are kinda like adding an AutoLok.

No such thing.

The auto-down feature is a combination of the electronics built into the driver's switch AND the tach output built into the driver's motor assembly. In theory if you could mount the driver's switch assembly in the passenger side and replace the motor assembly (I'll bet it runs backwards) it would work.

The best solution is the Auto-Loc modules. PM EMC2 and see if he has anymore. He did a group buy a year or so ago and had some left over. If you use them, make sure you cut the red jumper on the module.
