Default Passenger window problem

Problem:
Passenger window will not go down with the switch, but It will go down when I drop the top, and use the drivers side located, passenger window switch.

Things I have tried to fix it with:
-got a new switch
-made sure the passenger window lock was not on (located on the drivers door)
-checked all the fuses

Any ideas what could be the problem?

thanks,
Matt

Did you hit the lock out switch on the driver door panel?

Did you read the manual?

Check it out.

Matt did you get a new passenger switch or drivers side. The drivers side has a control unit built into it.

Find a helms manual under power window you'll find some continuity tests that will track down your problem. You can probably view it online.

I replaced the passenger switch, I was not aware the control unit was built into the drivers side switch, I will take a look at that tonight and update tomorrow.

The window will not go up or down using the passenger side switch, If I use the driver side it functions normally

Yea I would say replace the drivers switch. If it is not working correctly then I would do that.
