The roof still lowers fine. The window doesn't go down. The TSB is a01-008. Look in the library. If you still can't find it PM your email and I will send it to you.

I have had the same problem too. I was told that it was due to contamination getting in the window motor.

Hey, what do you know. Honda fed you a line of . SURPRISE!!!

If they didn't fix it for you, or anyone else:

There is a TSB (stated above).
Go back to them with TSB in hand and tell them to get it right!

I've had it with their incompetence.

My window regulator was replaced twice. The car is covered in the garage now but will know in a month or so if it still works.

Have you tried to hold the button down a few times to lower the window and hold it up a few times to raise it?

this worked for me and havent had a problem since. my window would stop 1/4 of the way down also when lowering the top...

Most of the information given in that other thread is correct.
The problem is a faulty window regulator. This is the motor assembly. It is a very expensive item and is covered under warranty. I met Woodwork at Fall Colors last year and he got every defective window regulator there ever was. They have found a replacement that "should" be a permanent fix. If you still have warranty, get it done. It is your right to do so.
If you are out of warranty like I am, you can do the fix yourself. Buy an "AutoLoc" module (www.autoloc.com). It is a "one touch express window control unit". This will cost about 40 bucks and will do the same thing, but by electronic intervention. Do a search on "autoloc" by "EMC2" and you may find the thread that outlines the "How To" on it.
ps. The window "reset" trick is usually only temporary. Most people report the problem will come back. At first, mine lasted several weeks/months. Now it lasts one open/close cycle.

does anybody Know if this fix is permenent or not, I want to make sure this problem is final and takes care of the problem. I don't want the service guys playing and messing with my S too much, since some of them don't know wat their doing and messing something else further. Has anybody has this fix done and how was the fix, and did the problem come back???

Thanks

I had it done under warranty and it worked great. No charge, and it has not returned.
