Default Automatic Power window Question

Hey guys! Im having a problem...The drivers/passenger window is supposed to go down automatically when you put the top down, and the drivers window is made to go down automatically when you press the window switch all the way down and let go, but on mine it starts to go down and stops a third of the way down on the drivers side. You have to press and hold the drivers switch to get it to go the rest of the way. Im sure its just a bad module, but I wanted to see if anyone here had ever had this problem. It does it all the time... not just part of the time. Im just not sure if its the drivers window switch/module or if there's another window module box hidden somewhere in the car. Don't like throwing money at a problem, so if anyone has any input, or if you've run into this problem yourself, id appreciate the help! Thanks.

very common, you have to replace the window regulator (i believe honda has a revised part from a TSB a few years ago, or use autoloc modules to bypass it

Ok, so its the regulator its self? Not the actual electronic module? I'll call honda and see what they say. thanks for the info!

Replacing the window regulator will NOT fix the problem.

You need to re-teach the window ECU .
All you need to do is fully cycle the drivers window up and down a few times. Do this by pressing and holding the button until the window goes all the way down, pull and hold the button until the window goes all the way up...repeat it a few times. Then the ECU is re-taught, auto down should work.

Thanks for the info... I'll try that tomorrow!

I think this "fix" has worked for some people but not all. It did not work for me. So I have a driver's side that has no automatic down function. I'll get it fixed one of these days.

My window regulator was repaced at 36k miles to fix this issue. As of 80k miles, it hasn't happened again.

I tried that fix it worked for about 3 car restarts then no longer. It hasn't worked in 6 months, took it to the dealer today and it worked

They ordered the part for me it is TSB 0008-001 I believe.

I just tryed to "re-teach" the window module and it worked.. sort of. Now, the window almost always goes down automatically from the auto switch on the drivers door, but when you put the top down, it still won't roll the window all the way down. Might be a dumb question, but do you have to put the top up and down 5 times like the window for it to learn the top? Seems like it should use the same circuit, but who knows.
