Default Bad Fuel Injector?

Can a bad injector actually make noise? I let my fuel run a little to low late last night on my way home from work. Got up this morning and wouldn't start cuz the car was on a little incline. Drifted to level ground and it started but now when i start up there is some wierd noise from around the fuel rail for a few then it goes away.

Fuel injectors can give a slight "tick" even when new and working properly. A bad one can make a very noticeable "TICK". Try some good injector cleaner that has some injector lubricant included in the formula.

Found the problem. I went to get lunch started the car and there it is again only this time I shut the car down and it keeps making the noise. The starter is still trying to start the engine. Took out the key still did it for like a minute.

^ Are you sure? You mean after you've turned the ignition off and taken out the key, it makes the same sound as when you push the starter button? So it's cranking the engine for a minute after you shut it down? I take it you leave the car in neutral when you turn it off?

So when you got out to take a look with the key out, did you actually see the belt moving and the pulleys turning? This would be a good sign.
I've never heard of this before. If this is indeed the case and your starter motor is running constantly, something's going to get damaged. The circuit to the starter motor is closed the whole time and is not disengaging when you release the button. It could be the button is sticking or what's behind it is sticking, keeping the circuit closed. Have you done any wiring in your car about the time this started happening?
Do the following if you cannot tell if the belt and pulleys are moving.
It would be nice if you could confirm that it is the starter motor cranking the engine even when the key is out of the ignition. Next time, turn off the motor, take the key out, be on level ground, do NOT use the ebrake, leave it in first. Your clutch should be in this whole time. Now, with no brakes applied, slowly release the clutch to the friction point and see if the car wants to drive itself forward. Make sure the road is clear when you do this. If it begins to move forward, you have just confirmed what you think is happening. As soon as the car begins to move, push the clutch back in, put it in neutral, release the clutch and hope the starter quits soon. Oh, you can use the ebrake to bring the car to a stop.
It is most likely that the starter motor is cranking all the time while you are driving the car. This is bad. Get this looked at immediately. You should have the car flat bedded to the dealer.

ps. I'm still a bit skeptical that it's the starter motor and for your sake, I hope I'm right. Hopefully, it's something else in the engine bay that's making a noise and you are mistaken about it being the starter.

Actually,

I had prolly the same thing happen to me 2 years ago, but not on my S, I had a cutlass ciera 3.8liter and when I went to start my car, the car started but I heard some noise, so I shut off the car, and it was the starter spinning. The starter wasnt actually pulling out to engage w/ the flywheel but it was just spinning. So the only way that I could stop the starter was to disconnect the battery before it fried.

I took a look at the starter and there was actually a piece of housing missing and I could see inside the starter, but dont know how it happened...

That sounds like run on or pre-ignition. Try running some good gas.

When i popped the hood at luch the belts were moving with the key out. If i put the key and and turn to on without pushing the button the car starts so it definitely has something to do with the starter or the start button. No new wiring or anything installed lately.

Sideways has made a very good point. It may be "dieseling" and not your starter motor cranking. This too, is an indication of something serious going on. Get the car checked out soon.

Just checking ................... Is this with an S2000?

ps. Just going back to your thread title, I suppose it could be a bad fuel injector or two - leakage could cause run-on for a minute or so.
