Bad head gasket?
Guys my S2000 is not well!
Symptoms are:
Loosing tiny amount of coolant, also sucking in air when cooling down. (Have to bleed daily!)
Can smell fumes in car when heater on. (Even with top down, so fairly strong)
Car is popping/ banging a lot, it is a decat, but seems excessive.
Idles a little irratic when cold.
However oil is clean, no mayo in filler cap or dipstick. No sighns of oil/ water contamination.
No steam from tail pipe.
Also found this the other day, it's like a popcorn texture, however I've done a few hundred miles since and no more has appeared.
Could just be build up of mess from constantly bleeding coolant?

Also I'm currently 1500 miles from home (England) in Austria and don't speak German, so getting a compression test will be difficult.
So anyone any ideas, seems to point to head gasket, but would expect some mayo?
Anyone any ideas?
Cheers

Pressure test your coolant system, that should make any leak apparent rather quickly. See if there's oil in your coolant when you remove the radiator cap, cold engine of course. It's hard to spot but if you look closely if you see little black dots floating on the surface it could mean you have a head gasket leak. Remember the oiling system is under higher pressure than the coolant system. So you it's more likely that if you have a seeping headgasket the oil will end up in the coolant rather than vise versa.
