just rev match to first, it's easiest.

if you shift it into first while still moving without double clutching/ bliping and hear a clunk is that normal for not bliping it?
it's normal for the clunk to occur in that situation if you don't get the revs up first, and that clunk is not a sign of a good shift, thus do what you can to avoid it.

what rpm is best for smooth shifting going from 1st and up? please dont say 9k lol. I've noticed that if I ease up to 2500rpm to about 10mph to 2ng gear and then again to 2500rpm to about 15mph to 3rd gear and then to 25pmh to 4th gear while slow shifting where the rpm drops to 1k and then shift I get that sucked into gear shift, if I dont do this it feels a little clunky, is this normal?

when's the last time you changed your tranny fluid? you shouldn't have to baby the car upshifting, should be pretty smooth.

I usually just leave it in second and slowly press the throttle to get to optimum rpm. Seems easiest on engine and tranny.

I might be wrong but for an AP2 if your rolling at ANY speed, a shift to 2nd is unnecessary. I'll leave it to the AP1 guys to figure just what the adequate rolling speed should be for their cars. I'd also assume that whatever that rolling speed is, it becomes second nature pretty fast and doesn't require any thought at all.

If you mean 1st is unnecessary. If you are rolling the lowest gear you should need should be second.

Well, acceleration when you are barely rolling in second is pretty slow. I'm talking rolling so slowly that the car almost stalls.
