I have a 03' S2K and have about 3k miles...My left rear rotor are badly scored
The other three rotors are in perfect shape...you think Honda will cover this under warranty??

Being that the front brakes provide more stopping power than the rears, it's kinda funny that one of the rear rotors got scored. What do you mean by scored? Do you mean there are grooves on the rotor, or is it just burned? The only way it could have grooves in it would be if the pads wore all the way down or something was lodged between pad and rotor. If there was burn marks, then I would assume that there was or still is a problem with the caliper.
It is pretty rare for a new car to have scoring on the rotor due to a faulty caliper or pad. It is also rare for a older car to have a problem like this. The only experience I had with a seized caliper piston was on a formula ford race car. The caliper was easily rebuilt.
Some high performance pads will cause scoring to the rotors but these are stock pads were talking about. Plus the fact that only one out of the four rotors was scored.
Sounds like something mighty funny is goin on here.

I would assume that the scoring was caused by a defective brake pad. This is just an assumption. If this is the case, then it will be repaired under warrenty. I understand that your MY is a 03 and you have 3,000 miles on it. Typically you should replace the pads on both sides of the car. Just like you replace two tires on the same axle at the same time. The only exception is if, hypotheticaly you only had, say 100 miles on a tire or set of brake linings. Otherwise you should change out both sides.
