Default Baffle Between Grill Top And Radiator Brace.

This "baffle" (if that's what it's called) has been a "side subject" in a lot of posts and threads. You know, that plastic cover right in front of the inside of the hood opening.

What is it there for? As a result of discussions on how it blocks air to the stock air intake, I began to notice how many, many cars don't have these, and this area is just open.

Also, how is it removed? This part is easily removed from its attachment points to the front radiator brace, but the means of its attachment to the top inside of the grill remains a mystery to me.

Thanks,
Richard

there is no need to remove it. It serves two purposes. directs airflow to the radiator to keep it cooler and helps keep debris out of your engine bay. The little slits in it are enough to let airflow toward the stock intake. Of course it can be improved upon, but it serves a purpose and removing it, totally, is a downgrade.

I do not wish to remove it permanently, but merely so I can make some adjustments to allow more grill air to reach the stock intake. But I can't figure out how it is attached to the to of the inside of the grill. Anybody know, and how to remove/adjust this attachment point?

Thanks,
Richard

there are plastic screws that need to be removed, they are really hard to see and get to. Easier to just take the entire bumper off and then remove the baffle. Trust me on this one.
