hot weather? heat soak.

regular maintenance? air filter, oil, plugs, etc. might want to reset the ECU just to see if it's learned anything you don't like.

or maybe you're just used to the car now.

any mods since then? could be robbing power. wheels and tires?

there are lots of possible culprits. maybe if you could describe a bit more precisely what's missing.

18s can def slow you down. Heat im sure plays a role as well. How old is your CAI, maybe try cleaning the filter

18s will have a pretty noticeable impact on performance with this car, especially if they aren't SUPER LIGHT. what size tires are you running?

you may have lost torque at various points in the powerband with the CAI depending on the particular type. plugs are probably not a problem if the car is fairly new and you haven't done anything to cause it to run really rich.

did you notice this sluggishness gradually? suddenly?

a trip to the dyno would be the sure way to verify how much power you are or aren't putting down.

it is sluggish to a point then gradually it will gain acceleration but slowly it seems. its 4-IG CAI.

P.S. thanx for caring!

the other day it was very hot and i was driving my car, i engaged vtec and the car didnt feel as fast as usual. i thought i was very low on oil or something else was wrong. i went home, checked out the oil level and it was perfect. i later went out with my girlfriend that night and as i was driving to her house, i engaged vtec, and this time my head was planted into the headrest. the air temperature was very cool that night.

anyways my point is, ambient temperature/humidity makes a big difference on our motors, especially since its only a 2.0 liter motor. i can't wait till fall/winter, our cars perform their best in those seasons.
