how does a bent valve noise sound? is it a knocking sound? TIA

 

If the valves are bent, you'd have a nasty miss and probably a mis-fire code if the car runs at all. I don't believe there's a sound associated with it.

 

A loud bang followed by a car that doesn't run on with really good bent valves.

 

I bent a valve in my civic racing before. Weird things the car ran fine driving, just idled like a harley. When I removed the head there where no signs of damage, even the head shop I brought the head shop I brought it to said it looked good. When they tested it the story changed. They replaced all of the exhaust valves and one of the guides.

 

so the engine would still turnover correct? im getting a noise from my head, im thinkin its the valves causing it...
