Default Berk Testpipe

Alright so I installed a Berk test pipe not to long ago, but I am constantly getting the same CEL code when I scan the ECU for the problem. I'm getting the P0420 (Bank 1) every time I scan it. The berk is suppose to come with a welded bung to keep the CEL from going on but even after clearing it twice the CEL insists on coming on. Anyone have any ideas to fix this?

2007s are more sensitive to cat-related changes. The O2 sensors seem to pick up on a lot more than the earlier model years. I suspect this is the problem with the Berk and your '07.

On the Berk it's not an add-on extender, it is a longer bung with a hole drilled into the pipe at the bottom.

I would say to take the anti-fouler approach and cross your fingers. Obviously it's not a serious problem, just going to require a little more fine-tuning in your case with the MY07. I would call Berk and ask for their advice as well because they seem to do a great job providing service to their customers. Leave a voice mail if you need and you'll hear back from them.

the extra anti fouler may work with the Berk - hard to say.

But also the fact that you have an 07 is your problem

I have saw several threads with 05 (local member) -06-07's having CELs b/c of the changes made to the newer models. So you may not get it turned off......with out some Electrical Fix.

So basically I have to lengthen the bung on the berk testpipe so that the sensor is further away from the gases flowing through the tp right? and is it possible to pick up a sparkplug anti-fouler at a local autozone or kragens?

From Berk's site:

"... 06-07 S2000 with drive by wire have high incidents of CEL. 00-05 S2000's are 98% CEL free."

try using washers and play with the distance. i think the anti foulers may make it too long for the 02 sensor and maybe easy to break off
